Praise God! Two St. Clare Parishioners Ordained Priests! Next weekend we give thanks to God for blessing our diocese with three new priests. Two of them are from our parish – Joel Seipp, son of Larry and Shirley Seipp, and Nick Fleming, son of Tom and Mary Fleming.
This is an historical moment for St. Clare Parish that we pray makes a lasting impact on other young men to consider such an honored vocation as being a priest. We pray regularly for vocations to the priesthood and to the religious life for women here at St. Clare. Especially through the Rosary before weekend Masses and at our weekly Eucharistic Adoration, we continually place our young people before God to open their ears and hearts to hear God calling them to serve as priests and sisters.
Join me in prayers of gratitude as well as bringing together our gifts for Nick and Joel. The attached envelope is for you to include any donation you want to give to help us show them a strong sign of our love and our thankfulness to them for saying “Yes” to God’s Call.
Their Ordination is next Saturday, July 11 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Cathedral in Belleville. Due to the virus and limited seating, watching livestream is the only way to participate.
First Masses:
Joel will celebrate his First Mass here at St. Clare at the 5:00 PM Mass next weekend. Again, with limited seating, in addition to his family and friends, there will be about 100 places open in the pews for parishioners to attend.
Nick will celebrate his First Mass at St. Clare at 2:00 PM on Sunday next weekend. With his family expecting a large attendance, it will only be available via livestream.
Please join me in making a generous
donation for our parish gift of cash for them to purchase vestments and other things they need for their ministry.
