Shrine of Our Lady of the Snow
3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
3:00 PM: Opening Activities:
~ Come early to enjoy the beauty of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.
~ Enjoy activities at the Visitors Center including music by Steve Angrisano.
~ Tour Devotional Sites and Shrine Museum.
~ Visit the Children’s Art Display at Millennium Spire at the amphitheater
- this will be the time to take photos
~ Visit the Shrine Gift Shop.
~ Enjoy a picnic lunch or check out the food trucks.
5:00 PM Gather at the Visitors Center as we anticipate the arrival of the Eucharistic Pilgrimage Delegation
6:00 PM Solemn Eucharistic Procession through The Way of the Cross pathway
7:00 PM Adoration service at amphitheater - music, witness talks, preaching, quiet prayer time
8:30 PM Candlelight procession with the Blessed Sacrament
All are invited to this event which is part of the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage. The entire event will take place on the Shrine grounds. The venue is beautiful, and there is room for everyone. Come for the entire event or any part. Afternoon activities begin at 3:00 PM. Make sure you arrive by 5:00 PM if you plan to walk in the procession.
We will gather at the Visitors Center for the Eucharistic Procession at 5:30 PM.
The Eucharistic Procession will be one mile long and move from the Visitor Center to the Shrine Amphitheater.
Expect minor inconveniences and expect to walk two miles over the course of the day. You will not always have immediate access to your vehicle. You should plan to bring a backpack with everything you will need (simple picnic type food/ snacks, small picnic blanket and water bottle). Food trucks will be available at the Visitor Center during the afternoon. Wear comfortable shoes. At the adoration service, kneeling is not required. You can bring a small kneepad if you desire to do so.
People with mobility issues can fully participate. You do not have to walk the whole distance of the procession. There is a shortcut. There will also be shuttle buses available for those unable to walk in the procession at all.
Plan for warm weather. You can cool off in the Visitors Center. Bottles of cold water will be available at the information booth and throughout the day. Restroom facilities will be available at the Visitors Center and the Amphitheater.
We encourage carpooling and busses. Attendants will assist with parking.
