Deacon Formation… Two St. Clare parishioners, Dan Kimutis and Len Ratajczyk, are close to finishing a five year Deacon Formation Program with our Diocese. Their formation training has included in depth learning on topics related to Scripture, Church History, Sacraments and Spirituality. The formation process prepares them for the Ministry of Deacon including service to the parish and local community. Please keep them in your prayers as they approach their ordination which will be on June 3, 2023 at St. Peter Cathedral in Belleville.
Dan Kimutis grew up in Belleville and attended St. Augustine of Canterbury. Dan has degrees in engineering and business and his lifelong career has been in manufacturing engineering and management. Dan and his wife, Kris, of 36 years, moved to O’Fallon and joined St. Clare in 2013. Their three children, Jared (Monica) lives in Knoxville TN, Alyssa (Stephen) in London, England and Nicole (Justin) live in Hamel, IL. They also have 6 grandchildren. Dan and Kris are members of our choir, EMs and Dan is a reader at Mass, Adoration Prayer leader, active in Men’s retreats and leads the homebound ministry.
Len Ratajczyk grew up in Scheller, IL at St. Barbara Parish. At 18 he joined the military and spent 25 years in the Air Force. Len married Tami in 1999 during a military assignment in Washington State. Tami and Len now live in O’Fallon, and their son, Ian, and daughter, Sophie, both live in nearby Lebanon. They have been members of St. Clare since 2010 and Len has been active in the ministries of Sacristan, Altar Server Coordinator and EM.
