Gratitude…

In my daily morning prayers, in expressing to God my gratitude for all of His blessings, I always take time to reflect on how this parish of St. Clare is such a blessing to me (and our diocese).

This past week, a beautiful brochure was mailed to our parishioners with a central theme of gratitude. Our staff created this brief photographic snapshot of our parish’s spiritual and social life as well as our budget for the year (July 2022-June 2023). My hope is that as you think about how St. Clare Parish blesses your life, you will continue to help us build upon the great things the Holy Spirit is doing in our midst. The mailing also included a simple ‘ask’ for increased giving in your weekly monthly tithing/donations to show your gratitude and share your gifts.

It has been almost four years since we last asked people to increase their financial tithing for our operating budget. As highlighted in the brochure you received, we have had increased expenses primarily in the areas of insurance, utilities, and school subsidy, while at the same time our staff members have not increased their expenditures.

Thank you. Thanks for being an active part of St. Clare, for your generous volunteer hours, your prayerfulness, and for your financial support.
