Christ Is Risen…Alleluia!
The best way to “live” the miracle of Jesus’ Resurrection is to see your life and the world in a renewed way…actively noticing each day, signs of new life and hope that God wants to show you. The spring flowers and budding trees are extra signs of God bringing new life out of that which seemed dead.
A special way to participate in Christ’s Easter Resurrection this year is joining other parishioners in our “Consecration to the Eucharist” devotion we are starting on May 1st (book order due by April 14). CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS & TO REGISTER!
“What is a ‘consecration?”
In the spiritual life, it is a specific commitment to God revolving around a particular devotion. Traditionally, these have been made to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, etc. This Consecration to the Eucharist, through the daily readings in the book, is the first ever to Jesus in the Holy Eucharist.
This devotion lasts for 33 days. We will start together on May 1, and consecrate our parish to the Eucharist on June 2, the feast of Corpus Christi.
This is for parishioners (family and friends too!) who are ready to commit to these 33 days, with a short 3–4-page reading and prayer for each day.
Details on ordering the book are on the next page of the bulletin. Consider this an Easter Gift to yourself and spreading the powers of the Holy Eucharist in our world.
Happy Easter!
