Thank you to the parents and grandparents who brought their children to our Vacation Bible School this past week. The fun-filled learning event teaches children ages 4-10 wonderful Bible stories centered on a different theme each year. As they rotate through the various centers, they learn more about those Bible stories through games, crafts, music, recreation and prayer. Even the snacks follow each day’s theme. It really is an exciting week, which these children always remember!
This year, 138 students learned about the miracles that Jesus performed as the Son of God. Through these Bible stories, the children discover how Jesus cares for us, heals us, brings salvation and asks us to share the Good News with others. Then, we ask the parents to keep these “Good News” conversations and actions going at home for these young disciples of Jesus!
We were so blessed to have about 80 volunteers – youth and adult – who taught the children and led them through the activities. How wonderful to see these leaders and helpers sharing their faith and being such positive, faith-filled role models for the younger children! The Holy Spirit filled our volunteers with God’s love and joy – plus patience and wisdom – and it showed in how well they interacted with the students. Thank you to all our volunteers, and special thanks to our key VBS leaders:
