Praise God for the amazing feast of Pentecost last Sunday that so many of our parishioners helped make happen! I can’t say thanks enough to all of those who gave so much of their time and talent for the Pentecost Festival:
The Hospitality Committee, led by Jaclyn Gross, and our amazing “set-up crew” were there most of Saturday and all day Sunday doing the prep, serving, cleaning up and taking down.
The parishioners who were the great cooks preparing and serving the incredibly delicious foods from countries represented from all around the world...revealing the diversity of the Church right here at St. Clare of Assisi Parish!
Our amazing choirs...who lifted us up in praise of God at Mass. The Holy Spirit then takes us into the Blessed Trinity feast this weekend and Corpus Christi next Sunday. Since we Catholics hold fast to the doctrine of the ‘Real Presence’ of Jesus in the Eucharist, we celebrate in a big way how unique our faith is…and let our children know this important distinction. It is also a great opportunity for each of us to read and learn more about this special doctrine of ours.
After the 10:30 Mass next Sunday we will have our annual Eucharistic Procession through the town to our old church (now the school chapel) on Third Street in O’Fallon. (Details on front cover of this bulletin). Surprise Reveal: during the summer months we are having the interior of the Chapel restored/repainted. Some construction has begun. At the Chapel next Sunday we will ‘unveil’ the artist’s beautiful rendition of the new restoration design. Come see!
