For the past three and a half years, we have been blessed to have Jett Cates as our Church Facility Manager. In addition to the daily running of our campus, Jett led us through the big challenge of moving the parish offices to our new building in November of 2020. One of Jett’s many gifts is his faith that he put into practice in the way he cared for our parishioners while also “getting the job done.” Jett chose to retire but first helped me through the process of training our new manager. He remains an active parishioner with us.
Welcome Eric Schmitt! I am pleased to introduce you to Eric, our new facility manager whom you will see around the parish working, as well as in the pews praying with us. Eric writes this about himself:
“I recently accepted the position as the new facility manager for the parish. To tell you a bit about myself, I just retired from my 21+ year career at AT&T where I served in several technical roles. Most recently I worked in the National Mobility Operations Support Center as a Mobility Network Support Specialist.
I am a lifelong O’Fallon resident and I attended St. Clare Grade School as a child (Go Knights!). I am a 3rd generation St. Clare parishioner. So in a way, accepting this position feels a little like coming home to my St. Clare family. I feel blessed for the opportunity and am looking forward to serving the parish in this role.
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns regarding the facilities or any special needs or requests you have. I can be reached anytime through the parish ofÞce or by email at [email protected].
Thank you, Eric Schmitt”
As you may imagine this role on the staff covers a lot of duties and skills. Thanks for introducing yourself to him when you might see him around the parish. I am so grateful for each of our parish staff members, who do so much to help our parish grow in faith and prayer!
