My main prayer this Christmas is simply, “Oh Jesus, give us Your Peace.” Of course, our world is always in need of God to ‘rescue’ us, but it seems more than ever, we need God’s Peace.
We need God’s Peace to reign…
+ in our own heart…
+ in our homes and families…
+ in our country…
+ in all war-torn areas of our world…
During these next “twelve days” of the Christmas Season, think and pray about how you want to be a person of peace… in your words, actions, and thoughts.
With God having entered our human world in the Person of Jesus, God’s Peace is now accessible to us…especially in the Holy Eucharist.
As our parish gratitude for you, we are giving you an inspiring book called, “Beautiful Eucharist.” It has 13 short reflections on the power of the Eucharist…and how it brings God’s Peace, Joy, Love, and Mercy into our lives. Please take time to read it during your Christmas days…and start talking more often to others (family included!) about how God’s Beautiful Eucharist impacts your own life.
May God’s Christmas Peace dwell in your heart and mind,
Fr. Jim Deiters
