I want to thank everyone who helped make the holy days of the Triduum and Easter Sunday so special. Wow, there were so many parishioners involved! Let me try to name a few at the risk of missing someone. Of course, we can always use help in each of the areas listed below, so let us know which one you want to be a part of!
• Art and Environment – so many talented people helped with the church decorations with the chair leadership of Peggy Melone. The team put in a lot of hours beginning with Palm Sunday to create the beautiful settings for the Triduum. Thank you to all who donated to our Easter Flowers in memory of loved ones!
• Music – the choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists put in so much extra time that provided truly prayerful, uplifting music!
• Grounds keeping and Gardening - this generous group of parishioners helped have the lawn and gardens looking so beautiful for Easter.
• Hospitality Team – This amazing group of women and men, led by Jaclyn Gross, did an absolutely beautiful ministry in preparing and serving the Easter Vigil breakfast. • Liturgical Ministers – everyone who helped with the extra liturgies, especially the ushers who stayed after all the Masses to help with clean up and furniture moving.
Those praying in the pews – it was inspiring to see so many of you make the extra time to participate in all the liturgies of the Triduum!
With many visitors here for Easter Sunday, I heard lots of compliments about our parish with words like we are “welcoming, prayerful, inspiring, and Christ-centered.” Thanks to each of you who do so much to make those descriptions true.
Be sure and come to the Divine Mercy devotions this Sunday afternoon. And we offer prayerful support of all our Second Grade Students receiving their First Holy Communion this weekend.
