Praise God for the many signs of Christ’s Resurrection here at St. Clare! Our parish offers a special “welcome home!” to all those among us this weekend who are ‘coming back’ to the Church and the Holy Eucharist. I pray that if you have been away for a while, the Holy Spirit will touch your heart with a renewed commitment to return here every Sunday to “Keep Holy the Sabbath” day and show your gratitude to God for the blessings in your life. If you have been away from the Church and have questions or want to get reconnected please call me personally at the parish office at (632-3562) or email me (via our website) to set up a time to visit.
For those who are new to the area or looking for a new Church community, please stop by the “welcome table” today to pick up a packet of information about being a part of our St. Clare family. I also express a sincere thanks to all of you who are here for the Eucharist faithfully each weekend!
Two important things about Next Weekend: First Holy Communion will be celebrated at the Saturday 5:00 PM and Sunday 10:30 Mass. While it will be a regular Mass for all parishioners, at Communion time the children will receive first. May they inspire us to be more reverent in receiving Holy Communion.
It is also Divine Mercy Sunday – a feast to celebrate the bounteous ways that God’s Mercy helps us on a daily basis! A devotional image of Jesus as ‘Divine Mercy’ is set up in our St. Joseph shrine for prayer. See the home page of our website for full details & schedule.
May our parish continue to be a witness to Christ’s Resurrection!
