about Lent
Lent is a time of preparation for celebrating Easter--specifically the new life we receive through our Baptism into Christ's Death and Resurrection and the renewal of our Baptismal Vows.
We prepare during Lent by repenting of our sins and seeking to grow deeper in the life of sacrificial and selfless love that Jesus offers to us through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
We hope that the below resources are helpful as you pray, fast, and give alms this Lent and throughout the rest of the year!
Learn a bit more about what Lent is and how to practice it from:
Every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at 6 p.m., we have something to help you connect with Jesus. Give one a try or commit to doing one for all of Lent!
Monday Night Mass and Lent Soup and Speaker Series We have Mass at 6 p.m. every Monday in Lent, followed by a soup dinner and presentation in the fellowship hall from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Adoration Every Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. in the church. Come for 15, 30, 5, or all 60 minutes.
Stations of the Cross We pray the Stations of the Cross in our Church every Friday during Lent at 6 p.m. as a community.
You can also pray them on your own in:
our church or
the prayer garden behind the school chapel (old church).
You can even pray them without a booklet by slowly walking, pausing (kneeling if able), and prayerfully meditating at each station. And scroll down for virtual Stations of the Cross options.
