Each year, the Christian Community unites in the Season of Creation from Sept. 1 (the Day of Prayer for Creation) to Oct. 4 (the Feast of St. Francis). This ecumenical endeavor is a worldwide celebration of prayer and action to protect our common home. As Christ's disciples, we are caretakers and stewards of God's creation, and our well-being depends upon the health of our planet.
The theme for this year is "Jubilee for the Earth." To celebrate a proper relationship to work and rest, we invite parishioners to send pictures of their landscaping and gardening projects that many of you have been engaging in during this time of social distancing to Matt Flynn. If you would like, you may also submit a sentence of two about how you have grown or developed a deeper appreciation of creation.
