To fittingly approach His Fountain of Mercy, and to receive His extraordinary grace of complete remission of all sins and punishment up to this day, Jesus asks us to:
Celebrate the Feast on the Sunday after Easter. (Diary 49, 341, 699)
Sincerely repent of all our sins. (Diary 113)
Place our complete trust in Jesus. (Diary 50, 1059, 1074, 1578)
Go to Confession, preferably before that Sunday.(Diary 1109)
Receive Holy Communion on the day of the Feast. (Diary 1109)
Venerate* the Image of the Divine Mercy. (Diary 47, 48, 742)
Be merciful to others through our actions, words, and prayers on their behalf. (Diary 742, 1317)
