Poetry in Music: For Better or for Verse - What comes first, the melody or the words? A dynamic blend of music and spiritual poetry, from Bach to Whitacre.
Masterworks Chorale will perform vibrant European standards, including works by Bach, Monteverdi, and Mendelssohn; selections from the African American tradition; and recent works by contemporary American composers, including Eric Whitacre and the esteemed Alice Parker.
