Important Dates to Celebrate Our Faith and Community
Pentecost Festival – Next Sunday, June 5
It is so great to see that many of you already got your tickets for our amazing festival on this great feast of the Holy Spirit. We are blessed to have a wide variety of parishioners from different countries around the world. They will making foods from their native homelands to share with us at the various booths set up. We also have some great entertainment lined up to enjoy during the lunch. Stop by the table after Mass to either get your ticket and/or volunteer to help. + Reminder - only ONE Mass next Sunday at 10:30 (no 8:30), in order to bring us all together in the Spirit; there will be a 5:00 PM on Saturday.
Corpus Christi Procession – Sunday, June 19
We have a beautiful tradition here at St. Clare that connects us to Eucharistic Procession traditions dating back to the 12th Century. I realize this is also Father’s Day, but a wonderful way to have many of our earthly fathers help us honor our Heavenly Father’s gift of the Holy Eucharist. Our procession follows the 10:30 Mass that Sunday and we walk one mile to our old church (now called School Chapel) in O’Fallon for benediction. For those who cannot walk this, you can drive and meet us at the Chapel for the blessing. A bus is provided to take people back here for their cars. We do all we can to help you stay connected to God, our Catholic Traditions, and working together to build a strong family community here in our parish.
