Volunteers Needed! I want to introduce you to a new ministry opportunity in our diocese that I strongly encourage you to please consider!
Catholic Urban Programs “Hub Foods” is CUP’s all-new client choice food pantry program. Twenty-four volunteers are needed to staff the pantry on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Volunteers are asked to commit to one or more shifts a week.
A “more than food” approach to the issue of food insecurity, “Hub Foods” volunteers are a vital link between pantry members and our case management team. Volunteers should be comfortable interacting with people experiencing food insecurity and other concerns such as health issues, physical disabilities and other impacts of poverty.
f you would like to put your faith in action through direct service, this may be the role for you! Four volunteers are needed on each shift making the opportunity perfect for groups of retired friends, individuals or stay-at-home moms! Contact Jenn Lyke at [email protected] or 618-398-5616 ext 203.
