I am eager to share with you some great things happening in our parish this week. All are signs of God’s graces and so many faithful people in our St. Clare Family.
• Youth – our Sunday night youth group is thriving with so many high school students and recently invited 8th graders to join them. Thanks, youth leaders!
• Luke 18 Retreat – last weekend, about 60 8th grade students were a part of this event hosted by another 90 high school and college students, all growing in their relationship with Jesus. Thanks to the parents and youth leading this!
• Young Adults – we are in the early stages of working with St. Peter Cathedral Parish to share with them some of the learnings and successes of the young adult ministry we have been developing over the past five years…as our Cathedral in Belleville is just starting this. Thank you, Young Adult Team leaders!
• St. Clare Catholic School – we had a very successful open house last Sunday, with all kinds of new, young families choosing our school. Many thanks to our School Board members in leading this!
And one other BIG thing to celebrate is our recent capital campaign and all the generous parishioners who have stepped forward with a donation and/or pledge to help us reach an astonishing amount that will be announced at Mass this weekend. The donuts and coffee after Mass is a small way to celebrate the campaign’s success – so please join us!
