Mass Obligation Challenge:
Fourth Sunday of Advent & Christmas
I have an invitation and challenge for all of us -- participating in two Holy Days of Obligation in a three days’ timeframe. Since the Fourth Sunday of Advent this year also lands on Christmas Eve, we have two separate Feasts to praise and worship God. Since most people will be celebrating Christmas starting on December 24th (Sunday), we will celebrate the Fourth Sunday of Advent at the Saturday Evening Mass (December 23).
We are especially blessed to have a church space that was intentionally designed to be large enough to have everyone at one Mass in situations when needed.
Therefore...
Fourth Sunday of Advent
Saturday, December 23
Mass at 5:00 PM
**No Sunday Morning Masses
Christmas Mass Schedule
Sunday, December 24
4:00 PM and 11:00 PM
Monday, December 25
10:00 AM
There are some beautiful scriptures, prayers and hymns for the Fourth Sunday of Advent that you won’t want to miss...which make our Christmas Mass more meaningful. I invite you to make the extra effort to join us for that Saturday night Mass...and then return either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day for this great day of God coming to earth in the Person of Jesus.
Praying that we all keep these days holy and centered on Jesus in the midst of all the commercialism and cultural busy-ness.
