One of the key elements of Jesus' ministry was hospitality.
He welcomed all people, especially those who had been excluded by others. We try hard to practice that here at St. Clare Parish through such things as:
Welcoming liturgies that are also prayerful
Our large ‘gathering space’ to socialize before & after Mass
Welcome receptions for all new parishioners
“Donut Sundays” once a month
Over 80 ministries that allows/encourages everyone to be involved
Oktoberfest and many other social events
At this time of year, we especially welcome all the new people who are either just moving into our area or searching for a new parish family. Next weekend, for the Feast of our patroness, St. Clare of Assisi, we also ‘welcome back’ all our regular parishioners who have either been traveling over the summer months or got ‘out of the habit’ lately. Refreshments will be served after each Mass next weekend to celebrate our feast!
For those of you who are here faithfully each weekend, thank you for your steadfast practice of the faith and thanks for welcoming any new folks sitting next to you in the pew.
