“As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”(Joshua 24:2)
This weekend in our parish, we ask each person/household to bring their “Stewardship of Time” card up to the Altar at the Offertory Procession of gifts. Our Stewardship booklet of ministries at St. Clare lists opportunities for each person to set aside part of his or her time for God each week and use the ‘talents/gifts’ that God has given us for His Kingdom, our parish, and those in need.
At Pentecost, we brought forward other stewardship cards volunteering to help with our liturgical ministries. Those ‘trainings’ begin this month so watch for details in the bulletin and emails to you. (If you missed signing up for a liturgical ministry, you may do so at stclarechurch.org/ ministry.)
I am so inspired by so many of you who donate your time for God and your parish. Your efforts truly make a difference in keeping our parish alive in the Spirit! Once you sign up, you will be contacted by the leader of that ministry. So, be sure to respond and stay active as part of your commitment.
In a parish as large as ours, it can often look like things are “running smoothly without me.” The reality is that we need everyone’s help…For each person who doesn’t volunteer, someone else in our ‘family’ has to do twice as much.
Thank YOU for the time and gifts you give toward our parish ministries. Your faithfulness is contributing the legacy of our Catholic faith!
