I want to thank everyone who helped make the holy days of the Triduum and Easter Sunday so special. Wow, rough estimates show that over 250 parishioners volunteered in making it so prayerful and beautiful! Let me try to name a few at the risk of missing someone.
• Art and Environment – so many talented people helped with the church decorations. The team, led by Peggy Melone, put in a lot of hours beginning with Palm Sunday to create the beautiful settings for the Triduum.
• Music – the choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists put in so much extra time that provided truly prayerful, uplifting music!
• RCIA team – those working with the Elect and Candidates preparing them for the Easter sacraments.
• Grounds keeping and Gardening - led by Bill Matzker, this generous group of parishioners helped have the lawn and gardens looking so beautiful for Easter.
• Hospitality Team – This amazing group of women and men, led by Jaclyn Gross, did an absolutely beautiful ministry in preparing and serving the Easter Vigil breakfast.
• Liturgical Ministers – everyone who helped with the extra liturgies, especially the ushers who stayed after all the Masses to help with clean up and furniture moving.
• Youth – prepared all the Easter eggs for the children’s hunting after Easter Masses.
Those praying in the pews – it was inspiring to see so many make the extra time to participate in all the liturgies of the Triduum!
With many visitors here for Easter Sunday, I heard lots of compliments about our parish with words like we are “welcoming, prayerful, inspiring, and Christ-centered.” Thanks to each of you who do so much to make those descriptions true.
