Baptism of School-Age Children and Adults
Children who are of school age are capable of having a personal faith and some understanding of their baptism. Therefore, the universal Church ask that their baptism occur in the same steps as with the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults and that they celebrate all three sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil. While these children will go through the same ritual steps as adults (see adult baptism steps), their religious education happens in St. Clare School or Parish School of Religion with children who are their age and are already baptized.
